Course Name: Transportation Engineering Modeling
Software Used: AutoCAD Civil3D
instructed by eng. BUSHRA BARAKAT
Bushra Barakat
20 hours, 200$
Course Description:
This course teaches you basic geometric design of a highway using AutoCAD Civil 3D. You will start by learning how to model a surface from basic topographic data. Then you will learn how to design a roadway section using Civil 3D features such as alignments, profiles, and corridors. You will also learn how to calculate the required cut and fill as well as the material quantities for the cross-sectional elements of your design.
Learning Outcomes:
1. Analyzing and handling point data
2. Modeling and analyzing existing surfaces and calculating lot excavation volumes
3. Designing horizontal alignments, checking the design of horizontal curves, and controlling alignment properties
4. Creating proposed and finished road profiles and checking vertical curves characteristics
5. Building dynamic assemblies and corridors
6. Creating sections, and analyzing materials and quantities
